One trend that stands out to me this year is argyle sweaters. I see them everywhere and worn in a variety of ways. If you are familiar with YouTuber Emma Chamberline, you can thank the queen for starting this trend. In this blog post, I will show you a few ways I style my argyle sweater. No matter what your personal style is, you are bound to find something that resonates with you.

Two looks I focus on is the the popular school girl look and a comfier look. I’m sure you have seen the argyle sweaters paired with pleated skirts and white button downs all over the gram’. But, that’s only one way to style the sweater into a school girl look. Or, if the girlier look isn’t your thing, you can always go for a casual and cozier look. Let’s get into it!

School Girl Look

One way I style the argyle sweater for the school girl look is with a mini skirt. This short skirt and oversized sweater pairing gives me all of the private school vibes. The best part is that you can use any kind of mini skirt, bodycon, pleated, and tennis styled. I paired my sweater with a light blue skirt, a white pleated skirt, and a black skirt. The good thing about my sweater is that it is filled with neutral colors such as navy, black, white, and gray, making it pair perfectly with many of the skirts in my closet.

For maximum use, I recommend getting a sweater that is a neutral color. Although, if you’re feeling a little crazy you can always go with a colorful option or one of each. The best part about this style is that it’s easy to create. Most people already have some of the supplies in their closet, minus the sweater.

For these looks, I added in my black baguette bag and a white fanny pack. The shoes are my white converse look-alike sneakers from JustFab. Except for the black skirt and argyle sweater photo, I went with my patent leather oxfords from highschool. Yep, you read that right–highschool. I hold on to many of my closet items; you never know when something will come back into style.

Comfy Look

For the comfy look, I went with my argyle sweater and Fashion Nova baggy ripped jeans. To tie the look together, I added in my black baguette purse and my patent leather black oxfords. Everything combined gives the outfit a stylish look while also being super comfortable. I also made sure to get my sweater in a larger size so that it would be a little baggier on me.
