For day 4 out of 30, I wanted to get a little funky and channel my inner y2k girl. Lately, it seems as if the ’90s and the early 2000s are making a huge comeback, with many people styling these eras at the same time. Talk about revolutionary. And if someone very young during these periods can style these eras separately, and together, now so can you. To give you guys a pro tip, I usually go on Pinterest or spend hours on the Instagram explore page to gather inspiration. This goes for every trend. While I always add my unique personal touch to every outfit, it’s nice to see some fun ways others have styled similar looks.

For this look, I went with my favorite pair of funky boots/sneakers? I honestly consider these shoes a combination of the two, but they are so much fun and make every outfit have some pizazz to it. These shoes are my go-to when I want to add some height to my look without going overboard with heels. I then added in some plain white distressed shorts, a true closet staple btw, and my sheer blue angel design turtleneck. This top is very lightweight, making it perfect for summer. Although, I do see it making another appearance in fall. For my accessories, I went with a silver chain belt and a few blue butterfly clips.

If you want to create this look at home, you can easily do it inexpensively and in several ways. For instance, I bought the top from Amazon for maybe $15.00. I know other brands sell similar tops; however, since this is a trendy item and not a closet essential, I did not want to splurge on it. The white shorts are an item a lot of us already own but can be purchased almost anywhere. You can also go with black or denim shorts depending on what vibe you want to go for and what color you get the top in. The shoes were a little bit of a trendy splurge, but I still to this day wear them and am obsessed with them. Check out NastyGal to get the same pair or a similar-looking one. The clips are from amazon, you can find them by searching “butterfly clips”, and the belt I have had for years and have no clue where I bought it. I know chain belts are trendy right now though and can be found almost anywhere.

Tag #bristylz to show me how you style this look! I love connecting with you all.

XOXO,
